Update on Teacher Christine Johnson - Preliminary Hearing Delayed

christine_johnson_in_court.jpgUpdate: Christine Johnson, 28, was the Squaw Valley teacher accused of having sex with an teenage male student.

Johnson has a new attorney, so she was granted more time and another conference before the preliminary hearing. It’s postponed until next month.

In June, Johnson pleaded not to a felony charge of unlawful sex with a 17-year-old, and to two misdemeanor charges of providing minors with alcohol. The defense and prosecuting attorneys haven’t worked out a settlement yet. Even so, no one is sure if the case will go to trail.

    Providing minors with alcohol? Now that was pretty dumb. Having sex with a young man of 17 is no biggie….hell he’s one short year away from 18….but the alcohol thing was really stupid. Did she want to get snared? Apparently.
