Teacher Emily Streb Arrested for Raping 16-Year-Old Special Ed Student
Seems that the New York City area has been plagued with “hot for teacher” crimes. One case happened in the Bronx where Emily Streb, 23, was charged with third-degree rape for having sex with a 16-year-old, special ed student with psychiatric problems. Streb was his music teacher. The two had sex at the teacher’s Bronx home as well as at the teenager’s home early in the morning before school. (His mother wasn’t home and is being investigated by child protective services for neglect.)
School authorities learned late last year that there was something going on between teacher and student at PS 12, a special-ed school in the Bronx, and reassigned Streb to their regional office. During the investigation into the affair, the boy repeatedly denied anything was going on. He finally admitted it to his mother after he sent threatening text messages to Streb.
