Substitute Teacher and Minister James C. Love Arrested for Drugging and Sexually Abusing Teens
Bloomington, Illinois substitute teacher and minister, James C. Love, 37 was arrested on charges that he molested three children after sedating them with an anesthetic agent. He is facing two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts of aggravated battery relating to sedation. According to police, the children were between the ages of 13 and 17 and were abused within the past five weeks.
Love is a substitute teacher at schools two Illinois school districts. He’s also an assistant minister at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and has served as a director of a Boys and Girls Club. According to one of the school districts, all substitutes teachers are screened with multiple background checks. He passed his and had an impressive community service record that included coaching youth football and working in programs that steer youth away from gangs.
Love’s church is standing behind him as a devoted church goer and community member. Also, Love was honored by the Bloomington Human Relations Commission with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Adult Human Relations Award for his work with mentoring children.
You wonder with all his accolades and the support behind him if he “just” made a really horrible, stupid mistake. Or did he do all this work with children just to get sexual access to them? How very sad.
