Principal John Acerra Found in Office Naked with Sex Toys and Meth, Watching Gay Porn
In Bethlehem, Pa., Nitschmann Middle School Principal John Acerra was arrested for selling crystal methamphetamine from his office after school and on weekends. There is no evidence that he sold drugs to students at the school.
After making a deal to sell a police informant meth, police found Accerra in his school office naked, watching gay pornography, with sex toys, meth and a glass drug pipe nearby.
People in the community knew Acerra had financial woes since his restaurant closed 10 years ago. Since then he’s had four bankruptcy filings, lost one home, and has failed to keep up with the rent on another despite his nearly six-figure salary.
The school district hired a law firm to conduct an investigation into Acerra’s drug activity and whether his frequent absences, late arrivals at school, and teacher complaints about his work habits for the past two years should have raised a big red flag.
Why did it take so long to notice this was a man spiraling out of control? Thank god police were more aware of his behavior than Acerra’s bosses at the school district.

Dude! We were in PA when he was arrested and the strange thing was (I mean, other than the obvious) the lack of a reaction from the community and parents. I mean, not that I polled everyone in the area but the reported reactions amounted to, essentially, ”Really? Meh.” as if either what he did was a huge non-plus or that he, personally, doing it wasn’t all that unexpected or shocking.
