My last post for NaBloPoMo and forever
Well, I did it. I posted every single day in November here at Teacher Smackdown as part of NaBloPoMo. And now it’s time to say goodbye.
Recently, the folks at ClubMom.com cancelled their blogging program to focus all their efforts at CafeMom.com, a social networking site for moms.
I’ve been blogging at ClubMom at A Readable Feast and will be taking my 18 months of content to a self-hosted blog called My Readable Feast at www.myreadablefeast.com around January 1, 2008. Also, I’ve been hired to work as a community manager at CafeMom. So between the two projects, I’m going to be very busy.
With that in mind, I had to look cut out some things. Ultimately, that’s why my time at Teacher Smackdown has to end.
I’ve enjoyed my time here at 451Press. It’s a great team and a great community. I would encourage any blogger, especially those just starting out, to blog at 451Press. They offer great support.
The money hasn’t been great, but it’s never been about the money. Instead, it’s been about exposing the creeps who pray on our kids. If that’s your mission in life, why not apply to become 451Press writer and take it over?

Well Ann….I must say I hate to see you go because your quite the talented spit-fire writer for any good cause, be it protecting certain vulnerable individuals from predaters to making intelligent to-the-point comments on subject matter that most bury their heads in the sand on, because they can’t deal with it. But you had a way of bringing it into the light in a very “wake up call” manner.
We will all miss that. Parents that are not aware that their child is being victimized need to wake the hell up and pay more damn attention. You had a way of caring and sharing that led to “enlightening” parents and…..despite yours and my differences…..I admired that about you. Especialy the fact that you cared. And I apologize about all the insults I hurled at you…..you do realize that I was just being an obstanate prick right?
Take care and this is NOT goodbye….I will visit your other site….but I PROMISE to be good.

I must say I am not unhappy you are no longer running this blog/website. Although you do bring to light the predators and sicko’s, you also judge and presume guilty until proven innocent. In a particular case about April Robertson. Yes, I am still here standing up for what is right for her. When it comes to the surface and she is exonerated you will have an apology to make. Something tells me you won’t however. Remeber that no matter what you believe in, things always come around full circle and what does come around, will go around. The energy you spend on such things will find you 3 fold.

I agree with Friend… will you ever come back and apologize for your comments about John Walker, who was found NOT GUILTY by a jury of his peers? I think not. You’ve walked away from this blog, but the contents can continue to hurt people like John for a long time to come.

So how do you “pray” on a kid? Hold him down until he says “Amen?”
