Daycare Worker Tani Firkins has Sex with Teen, Gives Birth to a Daughter, Gets Six Years in Prison
Blame Matt Lauer, but there seems to be an awful lot of stories in the news these days about older women having sex with young boys. The twist on this one? She had a daughter by her teenage victim.
Tani Firkins,32, will be serving six years for having a sexual relatioship with a 14-year-old boy. The teenage was enrolled in the afterschool program at the Good Neighbor Community Services Center, a Denver daycare center where she lived and worked. Prosecutors say the teen was assaulted between 50 and 100 times.
Firkins was charged with 12 felony counts including making pornographic videos with a minor, statutory rape, five counts of distributing marijuana to the victim and his minor friends, and five counts of distributing alcohol to the victim and his minor friends. She already pleaded guilty to the one count of making pornographic videos of she and the victim performing various sex acts.
When Firkins moved out of the center, she continued the relationship at her new place where she hosted parties for boy and his friends and supplied them with porn, booze and pot.
Firkins’ daughter is being raised by the young man, now in his early 20s, and his parents.
