Teacher Darcie Esson Sexually Assaults High School Athlete

darcie_esson.jpgAt least Mrs. Robinson waited for Benjamin Braddock of The Graduate to leave college, because today’s “older woman” is preying on high school boys.

Elizabeth, Colo. high school English teacher, Darcie Esson, 32, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a child for having sex with a 17-year-old male student on the floor of her Glenwood Springs hotel room. The incident took place while her two children and their 17-year-old babysitter slept on beds in the same room, an arrest affidavit stated.

The incident came to light after the male student bragged about losing his virginity to Esson. Esson and the student had an on-going relationship, sharing phone calls and over 120 text messages, the affidavit stated.

On Nov. 10, Esson traveled with the football team to the Best Western Antlers Motel for a playoff game even though she had no affiliation with the team. Esson attended the game with her children and their 17-year-old babysitter.

Esson went out drinking with several parents, one of whom drove her back to her hotel room after midnight. The player told investigators that when he met Esson that night, she was drunk. She tried to get him to drink, but he declined.

The babysitter told investigators that she found a used condom in the bathroom and witnessed the football player leaving the hotel room at around 4 a.m.

Esson remains free on $25,000 bond and was suspended from the school. She has also retained Pamela Mackey for legal counsel. Mackey represented basketball star Kobe Bryant when he was facing rape accusations in 2003.

Think she was there to have a rendevous with the football player? It happened the day her divorce became final, so maybe revenge was on her mind. A least she could have gotten a separate room from her kids and not stayed next door to the school’s principal. Talk about lascivious, drunk, and stupid. At least she was modeling “safe sex” for her children and the teenage help. Ewwww.
