Even I’m shocked silly by this one.
Bethlehem High School principal Paul A. Schum, 50, was cited for loitering for the purpose of prostitution by Louisville, Kentucky police. (It is a misdemeanor charge.) They found the Catholic school principal inside his parked car dressed as a woman in a bondage outfit looking for sex from men.
Just say no, Mr. Leonard!
Assistant principal, Leonard Marsh, 50, was arrested along with his wife Jinny S. Marsh, 56, on charges of growing pot with intent to sell. He was formally charged with manufacturing marijuana and his wife was charged with possession for the weed growing operation in their home in Virginia.
They were growing it in their closet according to police. Packaged marijuana was also found in the home they share with their teenage daughter.
In Tampa, Florida, ninth grade Middleton High School special ed teacher, Christina Butler, 33, has been charged with lewd and lascivious battery for having sex with a 15-year-old student.
The relationship was discovered when the victim and his friends were pulled over when driving Butler’s Jeep. Police called Butler to the scene. While they were waiting, one of the passengers told police that the teenage driver was in a sexual relationship with Butler. When she arrived, she told officers that the relationship was platonic. However, she later admitted it was sexual and ‘fessed up to having sex with the student no more than a dozen times.
In Huntsville, Alabama, Lee High School assistant principal Cleavon Eason, 36, was arrested and charged with with sodomy in the first degree and sexual assault in the first degree.
All is known currently is that the victim, a 16-year-old male student at the high school, brought forth the allegations. Investigations questioned Eason after the boy’s parents filed a complaint with police. After questioning, investigators immediately arrested Eason.
In Pinellas Park, Florida, at Oak Park/CEP School a group of 14- and 15-year-old students started a commotion in a classroom. One of the students was harrassing teacher, Roslyn Holloway, 47. After leaving the classroom, teacher Bryant Alexander, 35, entered the classroom to restore order.
Holloway then returned with a two older students, one 16 and the other 17. Alexander let them shout profanities and bereate the younger students while he sat in the back of the room. Holloway stood at the door but did not enter.
Update: Back in February, the former principal of Nitschmann Middle School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, John Acerra, 50, was arrested by police in his school office. Police found a bag of meth and drug paraphernalia on his desk. But even more shocking was that Acerra was naked, watching gay porn and also had sex toys on his desk.
Acerra pleaded guilty to multiple drug offenses for selling crystal methamphetamine from his school office. There was no indication that Acerra sold the drug to students. In a search of his home, police found 23 glass pipes containing drugs. They also found two pencil torches and numerous bags containing meth.
Police also a computer belonging to the Bethlehem School District. Great. This guy not only sold drugs but stole from school, too.

In Glasford, Illinois, Illini Bluffs Elementary School principal, John Walker, 42, was arrested for aggravated criminal sexual assault for raping a 20-year-old woman at a party.
A notice for termination and hearing is scheduled by the Illini Bluffs School District’s Board of Education. Walker is currently on his second 10-day paid suspension. Parents were hoping that Walker be fired on the spot.
The school board is now looking for an interim school principal. I’m not so sure I’d want the job considering that Walker’s arrest is the second sexual assault arrest at the school in past six months. Illini Bluffs teacher Ian McDonald is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student.
Must be something in the water.

Occasionally I get accused of not reporting postive outcomes about teachers who have been cleared of abuse charges. So here’s one for the record…
Sexual abuse charges against Sebastian Moore, a coach and physical education teacher with Russell County Middle School in Ohio, were dismissed as the judged ordered a directed verdict for acquittal. Moore had been indicted on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse alleging he inappropriately touched a 17-year-old special education student on school property.
Here’s a scam. You’re a principal and the school budget gives you money for student pictures. Needing a little extra pocket change, you ask parents to send in money for pictures and then steal the cash.
Luckily, this scammer got caught.
Seems that the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office is investigating Wilson Elementary School principal Michael Hailey. Not only is he accused of stealing picture money, but he was indicted on stealing $14,298 from students for field trips that were already paid for by the district.
His assistant, Patricia Johnson, is also charged in the crime as are Juanita Worthy, a principal at Wiggins Elementary School, and her daughter Keah Worthy, a former teacher at Wilson. Hailey and Johnson are also accused of trying to take $25,000 worth of pay vouchers for meetings that were never held.
Wow a principals-teachers crime ring operating in two different schools. What next, a PTO pot dealing ring?

The Ann Arundel County, Maryland school board has put the smackdown on the principal of Shipley’s Choice Elementary after she forced students to undergo a strip search for ticks. The school board is investigating allegations of child abuse, and has transferred the principal to their central office.
School leaders say the third grade class took an overnight trip to an outdoor learning center. During the trip students were forced to strip while they were searched for ticks that may carry lyme disease.
Weird thing was that that the principal wasn’t present during the strip searches and wasn’t even on the field trip. She just ordered the teachers to stip the kids to check for tick bites.
Duh.

First, a followup on the Principal Leroy Coleman videotape scandal. Seems that the Sandridge School Board wants to take Coleman’s teaching and administrative certificates away. (And more on the ethics of posting stills from videotapes. Guess they’re not so illegal afterall.)
Jay also reports on Natosha Shaw, the pom dance team coach at Waukegan High School. Parents are trying to get her fired because of sexy photos she posted of herself when the real issue is her incompetency.
Then there’s an “interview” with Janet Lofton from the Morningwood News (Ms. Lofton was one of the teachers caught on videotape with Principal Leroy Coleman.) It’s a fun spoof that makes you wonder what were they thinking?

As I reported earlier this week, principal Leroy Coleman and teacher Janet Lofton were caught on tape having sex in Coleman’s Sanridge Elementary School office. Teacher’s aide Anjayla Reed was also caught on tape having sex with her boss. The video tape was made illegally by person(s) unknown, and the AP is showing clips from it.
This is one busy principal. In Illinois, Sandridge Elementary School Principal Leroy Coleman and science teacher Janet Lofton were caught on tape having sex in Coleman’s school office. Teacher’s aide Anjayla Reed also appeared on video hugging and touching the principal. All three have resigned from their jobs.
The crazy thing about this? There wasn’t a security camera in the principal’s office, so someone got access to and placed a camera in the principal’s office. Then they made a DVD of the sexually explicit material, and mailed it out to parents, teachers, and local newspapers in an effort to manipulate an upcoming school board election.
In Bethlehem, Pa., Nitschmann Middle School Principal John Acerra was arrested for selling crystal methamphetamine from his office after school and on weekends. There is no evidence that he sold drugs to students at the school.
After making a deal to sell a police informant meth, police found Accerra in his school office naked, watching gay pornography, with sex toys, meth and a glass drug pipe nearby.
Thank goodness for teachers. Most are passionate, hard working, and decent. For many of us, it’s a teacher who got us where we are today. But that’s not what this blog is about.
