Update to: Marshalls Arrest Fugitive Teacher Andrew L. Foster for Having Sex with Two Students - One is Pregnant

In Florida, Santaluces High School drama teacher Andrew Foster, 27, faces charges in connection to having sexual relationships with two of his female students. Both were 17. The charges include unlawful sexual activity with a minor, child abuse, and transmission of pornography by electronic device.

He used his office, the school’s auditorium, catwalks, the theater’s control room, restrooms, and closets to have sex with the two girls. He would also send them X-rated cell phone pictures. Finally, he impregnated one student twice and signed off on her abortion.

The real tragedy was that the girl (known as D.N.) was in love with him and recorded this in her diary. It was not until she looked at Foster’s cellphone and saw that he was text messaging another girl that she confronted him. He admitted he was having sex with the other girl. That is when D.N. went to the police.

In Clewiston, Florida, teacher Jeffrey Scott Holsclaw, 49, was arrested for seeking sex from a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl. He faces charges of procuring prostitution of a minor, sex offenses on a victim between the ages of 12 to 15-years-old, and obscene communication on a computer to seduce or solicit a minor.

Via Craigslist, an undercover officer connected online with Holsclaw at 10:30 a.m. when Holsclaw was at work at Clewiston Middle School. The police report says that Holsclaw was looking for “GFE.” This is a code that mean a “girlfriend experience.” Holsclaw told the decoy he did not want to rush the session. He also wanted oral sex and agreed to pay $150, but then increased the amount to $250 so he would not have to wear a condom. (Geez, $100 more for a STD - no thanks!)

School bus driver Christopher Michael Donofrio, 26, was charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation and solicitation of molestation of a child - both felonies. He is also charged with a misdemeanor of contributing to the delinquency of a child.

Donofrio works for the Higley Unified School District in Phoenix, Arizona. He was arrested after staff at Williams Field High School learned that he sexually abused a 14-year-old girl - one of the kids he met via his job as a bus driver.

Donofrio communicated with the girl via the Internet for two months. Then he arranged to meet her at a community pool where the abuse took place.

In North Carolina, Charles Hadley, 29, a Southwest Guilford High School teacher, was arrested for soliciting sex from a teenager in an online chat room. The formal charges are “soliciting a child by computer.”

The investigation started this summer when detectives suspected Hadley of having inappropriate conversations online. Investigators stepped in and posed as a 15-year-old girl. Hadley fell for the bait hook, line and sinker. General conversation quickly lead to sexual questions. Then Hadley said he was going to try to meet with the teenager, but backed out of the meeting. Even though the visit never took place, the chats gave authorities enough evidence to arrest and charge Hadley.

In Lincoln Nebraska, power-lifting coach and youth volunteer, James C. Hart, 48, is jailed on charges of possessing and creating a child pornography video.

Hart used a MySpace account to persuade underage girls to take nude pictures of themselves and send them to him. Using the screen name “J-C,” his profile said he was 18-years-old and had over 1,000 MySpace friends.

A mom who found sexually explicit images of her 16-year-old daughter on the family PC started the investigation. (Way to go mom!) She found out that Hart was coercing her daughter to send him more and more pictures via his MySpace account.

Aren’t you tired of hearing about teachers getting arrested for child porn? Boy, I sure am. But the arrests keep happening!

In Neptune, New Jersey, FBI agents found child porn on Middle Road School elementary teacher Robert Cholowinski’s home computer. Cholowinski, 46, told agents that he’s been trading in child pornography over the Internet for several years now.

He’s been suspended with pay from teaching third grade. Authorities told school officials that there is no evidence suggesting that there were any pictures of students involved.

Cholowinski’s bail has been set at $250,000. Guess down at the Shore everything is NOT all right.

In White Plains, New York, federal agents arrested Allen Julier, 54, a Scarsdale High School art teacher for possession of child porn. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents found more than 100 images of child pornography and more than 10 videos of illegal material.

Julier admitted that downloaded and viewed child pornography on his home computer. He said he used paid websites to do so. However, ICE officials have not asked to see his computer at school. School officials did not find anything on his work computer.

Julier was placed on paid administrative leave by the school district. He was released on $50,000 bond, and could up to five years in prison if convicted.

The weird thing about this case? Why is ICE involved? Usually they handle immigration issues and the FBI handles child porn. Odd.

In Westport, Connecticut, former Bedford Middle School art teacher, Paul Held, 69, is being sentenced in one of the most disturbing child porn cases the U.S. Attorney’s office has ever seen.

Held had a huge collection of 3 million to 4 million child porn images. Authorities say that some of the pictures were taken in Held’s home, and others were taken in school including “under skirt” photos of his unsuspecting students. He also confessed to collecting snuff films showing the rape and murder of children.

In Pooler, Georgia, Saint Andrew’s School music teacher Joshua Evans, 25, was arrested on federal charges of attempted sexual exploitation of children and child pornography charges.

Since his home was searched by the FBI, US Immigration, GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation), and the Pooler Police Department I’m guessing that there’s more to this story than Evans looking at underage girls on the internet. Seems that Evans was trying to arrange to have sex and get nude photos of someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl. Whoops!

Louis William Conradt Jr.’s shot and killed himself when TV producers from NBC’s Predator show and police showed up at his door. Conradt Jr., 57, an assistant county prosecutor, had been engaging in a sexually explicit online chat with an adult posing as a 13-year-old boy.

Now his sister, Patricia Conradt, is suing NBC Universal Inc. for $105 million.

If you’re a fan of NBC’s To Catch a Predator show, you’ve heard of the volunteer citizen’s group, Perverted Justice.

In their PeeJ Guide section, they have information on What Parents Can Do, as well as a Page to Read with Your Kids and a Page to Read with Your Teen.

Not only do these guides give parents good advice, they address kids on their level and tell them what to watch out for.

Perverted Justice just started a site for teens called How to Deal with Creepy People. Creator Del Harvey is an administrator and law enforcement liaison at Perverted Justice. She hopes the website will serve as a resource for teenagers on subjects like bullying, stalking and sexual harassment - both on and offline. Del says the site will contain accurate information, practical suggestions, and helpful advice.

I think teens will relate well to Del and her cohorts because they’re young and into cool things like tatoos and longboarding. And she’s right, a site like this is needed by a lot of kids to protect them from online predators and online bullying/harassment from classmates. Welcome to the information age, mom and dad.

In Connecticut, coach Michael J. Garvie III, 30, was charged with enticing a minor and risk of injury to a minor. He has resigned his position as the athletic director and varsity baseball coach at St. Bernard School, a private Catholic school. He also coached their girls’ basketball team.

He was arrested after having sexually explicit online conversations with a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl. Instead he was chatting with an adult female detective who was working undercover and targeting online sexual predators. Ooops.

Between NBC Dateline’s To Catch a Predator show and what police are doing all over the U.S. to crack down on internet sex predators, I’m surprised that anyone is trying to hookup with kids online. Still that didn’t stop Scott Libert Hovey, 26, a mathematics teacher at Southeast Raleigh High School in North Carolina.

Hovey was charged with internet solicitation - trying to arrange a meeting with a teenage girl for sex. Hovey has been suspended with pay from his job pending the outcome of his case.

Hovey was caught by undercover detectives as part of an ongoing Internet solicitation investigation. Police are asking that anyone with information related to the case, including previous encounters with minors over the Internet, to call (336) 373-2255 or CrimeStoppers at (336) 373-1000.

In Ohio, Mark Boster, 46, was charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning. A detective who logged onto a chat room posing as a child was solicited by Boster for oral sex. Your run-of-the-mill internet predator, right? WRONG!

Boster was a Columbus Public Schools teacher and a neglectful foster parent to five boys.

According to Boster’s school personnel file:

This guy was a monster in the classroom, at home with his foster kids, and then on the internet. What was the Ohio Department of Education thinking when they allowed Boster to stay in the classroom as long as he received counseling on appropriate behavior with students? Why didn’t they fire him?

Thank god detectives finally caught Boster being bad online.

Track coach Klint Wescom, 30, is charged with sexually abusing a 17-year-old female student. Wescom works at Grayslake Central High School in Grayslake, Illinois and was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

The student was one of several members of the track team who began visiting Wescom’s home to play board games. The student began visiting Wescom at his home by herself, and sexual contact took place between the two during the early morning hours of May 5.

Police seized Wescom’s computer to review correspondence between him and the teen. Text messages and postings on Facebook.com linked the girl and Wescom. (Click here to view Wescom’s Facebook page.)
