Bond Revoked for Teacher Carrie McCandless After She Calls Student Tommy Clay

by Anne-Marie Nichols

carrie_mccandless_2.jpgCarrie McCandless, the former Brighton High School teacher, who had a sexual relationship with then 17-year-old, Tommy Clay was freed after a weekend in jail.

Officials say she phoned the Tommy Clay just minutes after a January 22 court hearing. Her original bond stipulated she have no contact with him.

Carrie’s attorney, Trent Trani, says she did not call Clay. Instead, he blames pranksters and the publicity surrounding the case, which has sparked several postings on websites. Oh, it’s the blogosphere’s fault, hmmmmm.

However, Prosecutor Mike Pearson said in court that Tommy Clay no trouble recognizing Carrie McCandless’ voice.

  1. Brick ONeil Says:

Hi, A.M. Nichols, it’s cwbybrick from aboutfreelancewriting.com. Glad to see you blogging!

There have been numerous cases the past few years about female teachers sexually assaulting their students. I have a question. In your opinion, is there a greater prevalence occuring in recent times, or is there a greater investigative and reporting by students and parents of the sexual assaults?

  2. Anne-Marie Nichols Says:

Hey Brick! I think there are several things at play here. First, kids are becoming more aware that it’s not o.k. to have sex with your teacher, even if she’s a hot blonde. Parents are also beginning to realize that these “hot for teacher” relationships are damaging to the boys, and are reporting them. Police are taking these more seriously too.

Maybe there are more women having sex with their teenage students than 5 or 10 years ago. I’m not sure, but it’s certainly a possibility. Of course, there’s more negative reaction, public outcry and media attention in these cases because 1) yes, people are now realizing it’s rape and sexual assualt, 2) people don’t like to see women as sexual creatures let alone sexual predators, and 3) people feel that these very attractive teachers could have picked up any guy in a bar and had her pick of the crop - why sleep with a pimply faced teen, unless there is something seriously wrong with you.

What I’m wondering is why we’re seeing more cases of this behavior. Is it because these teachers were molested or raped themselves, and are now repeating old behaviors? Mary Kay LeTourneau’s father was a womanizer and had many, many affairs. Was she mimicking this behavior pattern? Very possibly.

I believe we have a bunch of serious fucked up people who have become teachers and are now sexually preying on children…probably because they had the same thing happen to them as a child or teen. It’s sad how the victim has become the victimizer.

  3. Brian Says:

Yeah its interesting how women will go to great lengths to have sex with teenaged boys, while doing everything they can to avoid men their own age. What really is the deal?
My next door neighbor, he’s 6 foot tall, built like a greek statue, got a face and smile like a young Mel Gibson, he’s witty, charming, and loves and respects women. Guess what….he can’t find a date, or a girlfriend.
When he approaches women in a normal, respectful, mature, adult attempt at reaching out to meet, greet and make conversation with single attractive women, they either give him one of two responses….the arrogant ones spit in his face like an angry cat and send him on a guilt trip for approaching them …..or…. the others stand there and practicaly piss their own pants in inordinate fear and paranoia, leaving him stunned and speachless, with security guards tapping him on the shoulder five minuites later asking him to vacate the premises and stop sexualy harrassing the customers ( its usualy a mall or grocery store or nightclub ).
The next day he reads in the paper of another gorgeous female teacher risking prison and loss of employment and public humiliation to get naked with and jump all over a teenaged boy. The teenaged boy did NOTHING to earn or deserve the sex he enjoyed…..no wining and dining for six months….no intelligent conversation…..no fights with other male competition…..nothing….she just lusted after him almost unconditionaly. What gives?
He approached me about it the other day, with very simular questions to what you guys are wondering about. He has a very simular story to mine. I’m 6 foot 4, built like Arnold shwartzennegger, hollywood handsome,(a young Richard Chamberlan in the face), yet, like my neighbor, I notice that women were more sexualy attracted to me when I was 13, 14, 15 years old than they are since I turned 20. Back then women literaly threw themselves at me. Its true I was already 6 foot tall at 13, and looked much older than my chronilogical age….but these women new how young I was and it seemed to act more as an aphrodisiac than a deterrent. My neighbor has the same story. Today, like my neighbor, we notice we have to work alot harder and go through alot more hell to meet women. Thats just to MEET them. Getting laid is another matter entirely. When I was 13 I got laid like a rock star. So did my neighbor. And we did nothing to earn it or deserve it.
So….Ann Marie….and Brick….you seem like intelligent people….see if you can solve this little riddle. Oh I already have….but I’m interested in your input on it…..so put your thinking caps on….and share your observations here. And afterward….if your good…..I’ll share mine.

  4. Brian Says:

No intelligent observations huh? Hey I understand…if I were to print my contreversial findings here on the true nature of female sexuality and what women in general really have on thier feline minds, it would explode like a bomb…..so I really don’t blame either one of you for avoiding the issue.
